Xiaomi has launched Europe, in a very short period of time, as one of China's best-known brands within the world of leading mobile phone manufacturers. While almost all of its smartphones are destined for the cheapest end of the market, Redmi's red branding is taking this one step further.
But he can Redmi 7A Really offer a solid smartphone experience for less than € 99? The phone was launched in mid-2019, with the natural replacement being Redmi 8A not available in Spain, and Redmi 8 yes it sells for € 119.
Xiaomi's powerful regeneration cycle means that we often get multiple calls of the same type, so the biggest decision will be whether this model will be enough to deal with your day to day, or if you prefer the higher version.
Price and availability

Design and build quality
The first impression caused by Redmi 7A when it fell into our hands was that it looked like an extra device the premium exceeds its price tag, though its composition may have kept some lines of the past.
The 5.45-inch LCD panel was considered a few years ago, but is now covered by a large number of phones with screens over 6 inches in size. The 720 x 1,440 resolution sounds disappointing on paper, but then we talk about its quality.
We still find the presence of thick frames around your screen, with a 74.4% screen-to-body ratio that provides less screen space than we used to.
The product name that often appears on the slide at the bottom of the screen is stored in Redmi 7A, making it clear that you belong to the Xiaomi family of devices.
The unique 5 MP front sensor supports open face recognition, its only biometric option for unlocking the phone, beyond the traditional pattern drawing or number pin.
When turning on the deadly device, we see that its rear part has a plastic edge, with 12 MP rear camera space. In his fairness it should be noted that the material is resistant to the appearance of fingerprints and is more resistant than glass-finished models.

The actual physical buttons present on the sides are power and volume control, which are both sensitive and responsive. The speakers do not produce stereo audio, but they are surprisingly fun playing video content.
The lack of a USB-C port to charge your battery is a rare departure, especially for a phone that has hit the market throughout 2019, when there is a problem with using a model that is becoming increasingly out of reach by the public
The phone also boasts a 3.5mm headphone jack, something so rare that it is worth it to analyze the phone's defective feature, especially when linking it to a Radio Radio backlit.
Hardware and performance
When we look at the internal aspects, we find the middle hardware a serious commitment. The Redmi 7A comes with a Snapdragon 439 processor and 2 GB of RAM. You can choose 16 or 32 GB of storage, but both are very basic options.
The model we tested comes with 16 GB, but our recommendation is to get 32 GB variants. We were participants of low storage warning messages just after installing a few programs.
The good news is that it has a mounting slot for MicroSD cards up to 256 GB, but that's a different purchase that some people might be hesitant to do.
Setting limits means we had trouble checking our standard tests bench. GFX Bench needs to download 660 MB before we can start the tests, we have to remove some.
However, after overcoming this obstacle, we were surprised by the results of the finding, as can be seen in the graph of the following results.
Overall, thanks to the huge increase compared to the previous Redmi 6A. It is also true that there is considerable improvement with the Redmi 8A, which although it has the same Snapdragon processor, can choose 4 GB of RAM.

If you are not familiar with the Xiaomi interface, the Redmi 7A has a more transparent and more vibrant color scheme than usual. Program icons are appealing and eye-catching.
Switching right from the home screen shows some Google Now style cards, albeit less useful than the ones you'll find on a Pixel phone with the latest version of Android 10 or Android 11.
The absence of a fingerprint scanner means that face unlocking is your only biometric option. Redmi says this was enhanced by AI, starting with thousands of tiny dots on your face to see it.
This makes it safer than a standard face unlock, but means that it is slower than most optional options. The key selling point of the same technology is the ability to confirm payment or log in to specific programs, but that doesn't happen here.
Like most Android phones, you can choose between using the navigation buttons on the screen or touching. The last one is a great option, but it doesn't feel accurate.
In the audio section, the Redmi 7A comes with two low-end speakers that produce vivid and Christmas sound. They cannot be combined with the headset to confirm the stereo configuration, but they sound good at their price.
Cameras
Cameras are a key area where budget is often cut to these types of entry-level economics, and this also applies here. In this way, the Redmi 7A comes with a single 12 MP rear sensor with f / 2.2 focus.
Telephoto lenses and wide angle lenses have become so common that it is rare to see a single lens configuration these days, but you might not be surprised to find yourself on the phone for less than € 99.
That said, the possibilities of the camera are reduced, because you can take pictures in the photo mode to upgrade software, but that's only when it is mentioned in other ways.
In good lighting cond itions, photos are good and valid for sharing on social networks, not so much when it comes to in-house photography or low light. There is a balance of colors in the foreground, though the dynamic range leaves something to be desired.
The graphics look a lot more fun with the dedicated dedication mode, but you have more difficulty getting the edge. The 5 MP front sensor is only compatible with the basics, and let's say it resolves when talking about face management is not open.
In the video segment, the Redmi 7A is capable of recording 1080p quality at 30 fps. Photos look great, or you may not have any additional help with image stabilization or similar.
Battery life
Battery life is amazing for the Redmi 7A, with the combination of a 4,000 mAh battery that powers the low-resolution touchscreen management system, which translates into a day and a half of autonomy and optimization

The decision
The fact that the Redmi 7A is a 89,98 mobile phone using Android 9 Pie makes it wonderful. Its size is portable and easy to carry in your pocket, while the screen offers good quality.
We also thank the battery life and the fact that this sound is clear with this type of cell phone. For its part, using only 2 GB of RAM greatly reduces user experience, especially when browsing Web pages.
As your recommendation, we will tell you that if you would prefer to get a model with a larger size of 32 GB, since 16 GB with the installation range think you cannot install other applications.
