How to Start an Amazon Prime Video Watch Party
This may be obvious: everyone will need to have a Prime Video subscription.
If you don’t have an Amazon Prime Video subscription yet, you probably want to know the price. The cost of an Amazon Prime subscription is $49.90 if you pay for an entire year and $4.99 if you pay for a month. That’s still a much cheaper figure than competitors like Netflix or HBO.

What content does Prime Video Watch Party work with?
It makes sense that you can’t watch rented or purchased content using the Watch Party feature, as well as Prime Video channels, IMDb TV, and live events.

What devices does Amazon Watch Party work on?
For now, Amazon limits the use of Watch Party to web browsers (not including Safari or Internet Explorer) and you don’t need a plugin.
This means you cannot use Watch Party on other devices such as smart TVs, consoles, mobiles, streaming boxes like the Fire TV range. However, Amazon may add this feature later.
How many people can join a first class CCTV party?
A lot. Up to 100 people can join the party and that means devices; so technically 200 people if, say, two people are watching on each device.
Remember that the host or hostess and all attendees must have a valid Prime Video membership. If they don’t, a free trial is available.
Can I create a Watch Party in different countries?
Unfortunately not, all Watch Party members must be in the same country as the host’s subscription.
Amazon says, “For example, if the host’s subscription is in the United States through Amazon.com, you must log in to your United States subscription through Amazon.com to participate.”
