Samsung’s older smartwatches from the Galaxy Watch series will now start upgrading to the new Wear OS 5.0 operating system, Android Police reports.
The Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra launched with the new software, but now the Galaxy Watch 6 also has access to Wear OS 5.0. However, owners of the LTE model may have to wait a little longer for it to arrive.
Some of the new features in the Wear OS 5.0 firmware update include “Energy Score,” a summary of your daily mental and physical health based on your sleep and activity levels, and more detailed sleep analysis at Galaxy AI help. The new operating system should also make scrolling through smartwatch menus faster.
Samsung’s even older smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5, will get Wear OS 5.0 in the coming weeks.
