Well now China is selling its Loongson processors to the United States.

There are a large number of companies that are trying to develop components to create competition against the big brands, and in this case, a Chinese brand is looking to sell its products worldwide to enter a market dominated by four major American brands. And it is that the processors Loongson can now be purchased at EU but also in the rest of the world, even if, as we well know, its performances are nothing extraordinary.

A few months ago we witnessed the presentation of new processors created specifically to compete with American brands in China, since the final objective of these CPUs is to replace a part of the market dominated by the North American country with a more local product. In this case, we are talking about processors Loongsona series of chips that offer much lower performance than Intel and AMD solutions, but which in a few months has managed to significantly increase its capabilities.

Loongson Processors Launched Worldwide

Chinese competition in the processor market

Intel, AMD, Qualcomm and Apple are the main companies that we currently find in the processor market, big brands that have been in the sector for years and that offer a series of extremely powerful products, offering solutions for any user. It is really difficult to compete with these companies, mainly due to the difficulty of creating a CPU, but also because of trying to achieve the performance that these companies are capable of offering.

But in a market where sanctions and limitations are the order of the day, it is not strange to see how companies are emerging within the sanctioned region that seek to offer an alternative, this is the case of Loongson. The processors they sell, as one can imagine, have no point of comparison with those we currently have, because if we had to define them in one way or another, we could say that they are more than four generations behind, which is normal given that they do not have the lithography tools that American companies have.

Loongson Motherboard Processors

This did not stop them from opening the trade of their products to the whole world, and you can currently buy motherboards with this Chinese processor, which are distinguished by performance similar to that of the 10th generation Intel Core or AMD Zen3. This processor offers a maximum clock speed of 2.5 GHz and is designed to support DDR4.

The Loongson processor is integrated into two different motherboards, the first being the 7A2000, with a total of three PCIe slots, two DDR4 memory sockets, and support for NVMe and SATA SSDs. It also includes HDMI and VGA graphics output, as well as HDA audio interfaces.

On the other hand, we have Front C.
