The new controllers, the Midnight Black and Cosmic Red editions, are said to have been inspired by space. Cosmic red reflects the reddish tones found in the cosmos, while midnight black represents how we see space at night.

Sony has confirmed that the Midnight Black and Cosmic Red editions of the DualSense controller for the PS5 will go on sale next June. We also know that it will be a phased launch and that they will arrive in the United States first.
The new versions of the DualSense controller will officially go on sale in the United States on June 11, but outside that country (including Europe) we will have to wait a few days later until June 18, 2021.
