Today, we have adapted both the computer and the mobile phone to our daily life, so much so that it is normal that many people end up operating the two devices synchronously in their daily lives. Therefore, applications that allow us to use both devices at the same time and that allow a transition between one and the other during use are very popular. One of them is Intel’s Unison, which, to be honest, left us very disappointed with what it offers compared to other alternatives out there.
Why not love Intel Unison?
Well yes, let’s start with the negative, since our disappointment is capital. The reason? To use the application it is necessary that we have a computer equipped with an Intel Core 13 processor with Intel EVO certification. No other is valid and there is no reason or justification to limit the people who can use it not only to a specific brand, but to an exclusive family of products, because it does not use any function that cannot be performed only with such equipment, including:
- Mobile notifications on PC and vice versa.
- Be able to read text messages from PC.
- Being able to transfer files automatically and without the need for cables via the support between the computer and the smartphone.
- Allows you to make calls from your PC using its Bluetooth interface with your mobile.
The problem by which it is limited is the fact that it does not allow us to see the mobile screen on the PC and to be able to continue working from there. What is understood from the moment that to achieve compatibility with Android and iPhone at the same time, it is necessary to remove this useful feature, among many others. This is due to Windows inability to run apps for iPad OS and iPhone.
There are better alternatives
A better alternative to Unison is Phone Link from Microsoft itself, which is standard in Windows 10 and Windows 11. Unfortunately, the devices we can use it with are limited to a few devices from Microsoft itself, One Plus, and Samsung. .
In particular, in order to continue to use mobile applications on the PC, which often depends on the manufacturer of the telephone and which is one of the functions of the Apple ecosystem which we lack in Windows, but whose users of the Cupertino brand do not suffer from use the same operating system on all their devices. It is already known, advantages of using a closed ecosystem and, therefore, totally controlled by them.
