When Windows 11 arrives at the end of the year, there will be plenty of versions to choose from. In fact, up to seven different versions are expected to arrive, each with their own purpose.
At least that’s what the list of Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group), responsible for implementing Bluetooth standards around the world, ensures. Microsoft is part of this group, so we can take it as a confirmation of the seven versions of Windows 11.
It is not very common for an operating system to be listed this early, but it could indicate that recent rumors are true.
These suggest that the final version of Windows 11 will arrive for members of the Windows Insider program in October 2021, while the new Equipment
We will have to wait and see if the rumors are really confirmed.

The seven versions of Windows 11
According to the aforementioned Bluetooth SIG list, here are the major versions of Windows 11 that Microsoft is working on:
- Windows 11 Home
- Windows 11 Professional
- Windows 11 Professional Education
- Windows 11 Professional for workstations
- Windows 11 Enterprise
- Windows 11 Education
- Windows 11 Mixed Reality
However, they cannot stay here. There is another list on the same page which mentions a total of 15 versions, although it is not clear if all will be released.
In reality, most people will only use Windows 11 Home or the standard version of Windows 11 Pro, although it doesn’t hurt Microsoft to think about other users.
How will the versions of Windows 11 differ?
It’s not very clear. So far, Microsoft has only officially mentioned Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro versions. This is due to their popularity, as these two variations are the ones that more people will use in theory.
Windows 11 Pro is more than likely to include additional features, and we know Windows 11 Home will need a Microsoft account in the setup process. Previously, you could use a local account, which will still be possible with Windows 11 Pro.
While the Bluetooth SIG appears to be a credible source, Microsoft has yet to comment on the total number of versions of Windows 11 that will be available or when they will be available.
However, it is possible to expect that the same situation as Windows 10 will repeat itself. There will not be many differences between each version, only those necessary to satisfy each type of user.
