Our Verdict
The Yeedi M12 Pro+ Vacuum Mop is ideal for homes with multiple hard floors. It will clean the edges and even corners, before using hot water to hygienically clean the pads and dry them, requiring minimal maintenance. However, while it tackles low-pile carpets, those with thicker carpets will still need to use a separate vacuum cleaner: its unique rotating brush and brush roll aren’t enough to leave soft floors free of debris.

Early vacuum cleaners were basic, often using plain water on board and with no way to clean the pads other than detaching them and putting them in the washing machine. Compared to Yeedi’s M12 Pro+ vacuum mop, the difference is palpable. Not only does its base have large reservoirs for fresh and dirty water, but it will clean its dual pads with 160°F/70°C water and even dry them to boot. Better yet, they pivot to reach edges and corners before lifting when soft ground is encountered. This, plus the automatic dust drain, means you’ll never need a mop and bucket again.
Design and build
- The station contains 3 months of dust
- Cleans and dries mop pads
- The robot vacuum cleaner has 11,000 Pa of suction
Although the robot itself is medium-sized (H4 x W13.8 x D13.8 inches), there’s no denying that Yeedi’s M12 Pro+ Vacuum Station is somewhat imposing in anything other than a large room. Finished in black plastic with a protruding bottom section, it takes up a significant amount of floor space (H18.9 x W16 x D19 inches) and requires 20 inches of clearance on each side. Add two water tanks on top (4 liters for clean water and 3.5 liters for dirty water), and you will also need to leave access space above. There’s also a 3.4L dust bag inside that promises to hold up to 90 days of dirt.

The robot vacuum is well designed to handle most floors: it has a pair of large wheels with a deep tread for climbing softer floors, as well as a single small wheel to help it move. In the center, there is a single brush roll with a V-shaped pattern and anti-static bristles, which help prevent hair winding.

These combine with up to 11,000 Pa of suction to suck up dust. Inside, in addition to a 300 ml dust container, there is a 55 ml water tank for cleaning. At the top, you’ll find a trio of buttons that activate certain functions, so you don’t need to pick up your phone, like spot cleaning, starting, and going home.
Performance and Features
- LiDAR navigation and mapping
- Application functions hidden in submenus
- Strong on hard floors, less effective on carpets
Although you can manually use some features of the M12 Pro+ vacuum, the majority of settings and preferences are found in its app. This is where you will find its 2D and 3D mapping, fast thanks to LiDAR sensors. He first mapped our floor in a few minutes before filling in the details.
The vacuum also has technologies to prevent it from falling down stairs or hitting objects, although we still noticed a few collisions: these were mainly objects being moved from one place to another or sometimes from our feet. Smaller objects, such as a cat toy, were not avoided, such as the one wrapped around the brush roll. If we moved or rotated the base, the robot vacuum had trouble finding it again until it was manually replaced for charging.
The M12 Pro+ initially mapped our ground in minutes
Its app itself is generally simple to use, although you may have to navigate through several menus to find what you want, or wait until the robot has completed a task before changing certain settings, such as the divisions of the map or timetables. Scheduling was particularly tricky because our app was set to China’s time zone and couldn’t be changed. So we hope that updates will fix this issue.

The basics are simple to change though, allowing you to choose suction power, cleaning level, mopping, vacuuming or a mix of both, and more. Its most powerful cleaning levels quickly deplete battery life, but if left at the lower levels, its makers estimate that the M12 Pro+ can provide nearly five hours on a single charge.
The most attractive feature of the M12 Pro+ is its automatic draining and self-cleaning
After thoroughly cleaning the floor, we used the spot cleaning feature to see how the M12 Pro+ handled dust (flour) and debris (oatmeal) on both hard and soft floors. Spot cleaning can be activated by simply pressing a button on the robot vacuum cleaner, which then triggers a 1 m² area cleaning. We configured it to do this twice.
Cleaning the hard floor (vacuuming and mopping) was most impressive: all traces of flour were picked up and only a few oat flakes were swept up by the spinning brush. We particularly liked that the mop pads extend and retract for reasonable edge-to-edge and corner cleaning — something some robot vacuums promise but don’t deliver. However, while most of the flour was removed from the mat, about a quarter of the oats remained and were distributed.

What might be the most interesting feature is the automatic draining and self-cleaning. Once back at base, the robot vacuum empties into its largest bin. It’s loud – 80 dBA – about the level of a lawn mower. From there, the base uses hot water to clean the mop pads and then hot air to dry them, which is a more hygienic and convenient solution than most others.
Pricing and availability
The Yeedi M12 Pro+ is available from Yeedi for $899. You can also buy it on Amazon. Its list price on the site is $1,099, but it’s usually available for $899 and at the time of writing there’s a coupon on the page for $100 off.
Self-cleaning and self-emptying robot vacuums are always expensive and the Yeedi M12 Pro+ is no exception, but if you take a look at our roundup of the best robot vacuums we’ve tested, you’ll see that it’s the best . price for its feature set. The question is whether it’s worth paying more to get a robot vacuum that offers more powerful carpet cleaning.
Should you buy the Yeedi M12 Pro+ stick vacuum cleaner?
If you’re short on time, have large areas of hard flooring, or smaller areas with lots of pet or child traffic, the Yeedi M12 Pro+ Vacuum Mop could be a smart addition to your home. It allows you to trade little and often cleaning and weekly deep cleaning for the occasional emptying of a dust bag and dirty water, as well as filling a new tank.
There’s still a way to go before it performs as well on medium-pile carpet, but if you never want to clean a floor again, with the M12 Pro+ you probably won’t have to.
