Indeed even a smartphone is a mini pc. However, as a general rule, mini PCs are known as small desktop computers, also known as SFF. In this article we will tell you What kind of PC mini is available and what features do you have each of them.
The interpretation of the Mini Mini is confusing. The standard on a desktop PC is ATX, so starting from that, we can view small PCs as complete desktop applications that fit into the SFF range, that is, they use mini ITX motherboards or smaller.
On the other hand, in order to monitor a PC, which means either a Personal Computer or a Personal Computer, we must look only at user-supported devices that allow interoperability.
The types of small PCs you can buy in the market
We'll look at the types of mini PCs that are available and affordable – it would be absurd to count those that are not available – without having to go to specific models, but only the types that are available.
ITX Mini PC
These kind of small PCs are the most common, basically because you can combine them into pieces. Their standard feature is that they use motherboards mini ITX, and while some are able to accommodate graphics cards in full size and power supply, they are usually intended for use with SFF materials, such as SFX sources, low-quality drawings and low-heatsinks.
The biggest benefit that these teams have is their huge flexibility, because we will be able to combine them into parts as we compile a standard desktop PC, only to be limited by the sheer size of the material.
NUC type
This type of device has a motherboard mini STX, also known as Intel 5 × 5. The pioneer in this format was Intel and for this reason some of the equipment assembled before this method became known as the "NUC type". They are usually barebones, which means they come with everything needed to work except RAM and storage, thus giving the user the freedom to install as much RAM or storage as they want or need.
Micro PC
These types of small PCs are even smaller, and as a general rule they include a motherboard type format, that is, it doesn't have a specific format. With smaller secondary PCs there are, but nonetheless, they provide sufficient connectivity. Most of them are so low usage that they can even work on connecting them to a standard USB PC.
Type of raspberry Pi
Who has never heard of a Raspberry Pi? They are actually development boards, but they are more advanced to be used fully as mini PCs. Like the Intel NUC, the Raspberry Pi was the first to introduce this format, so some (Orange Pi, Banana Pi etc.) are known as "type Raspberry Pi ".
Compute Stick
These are tiny PCs that exist, and their standard feature is that they have a male HDMI connector for direct connection to the TV or monitor, in addition to the USB connector that they use as a power outlet. Devices are widely used and, therefore, also at very low power. Still, they are the best television storytellers, or small office work, Internet browsing, and general entertainment.
Other types of PC mini
We've already told you what are the most common types of small PCs we can find, but among these there are many manufacturers who have made their own variations. For example, we have the ECS of the manufacturer and its family of Liva devices, Zotac with ZBOX or ASUS with its own Vivomini, but they are still very similar to what we told you before (and be careful because most have no stacks or RAM).
Specifically, in the image above you can see the first-generation Liva ECS, which despite having the older version uses the Intel NUC model.
