Exactly 26 years have passed since the first one Pokemon Games released in Japan and the developers of the series lived up to the hype of this year’s International Pokémon Day by offering tons of updates to current games and a big surprise: new mainline entries Pokemon scarlett and violet coming to Nintendo Switch in late 2022.
When the latest Pokémon Presents live stream was announced a few days ago, fans assumed so could be news about future DLCs to the Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Instead we got much, much more.
Here’s a quick rundown of everything that’s been announced and one thing that hasn’t been announced:
Pokemon Go receives Alolan Pokémon on March 1st.
the mobile game his Pokédex will be expanded with additions from the 7th generation Sun and moon. This includes starters like Rowlet, Litten and Popplio and nearly 80 others.
Pokemon Masters EX adds Victory Road.
the gacha game will get a new boss rush mode where you can fight back-to-back against Victory Road trainers. A few new sync pairs will also be added over the next month, including May and Latias, and Skyla and Tornadus.
Pokemon Cafe Remix gets delivery function.
the puzzle game now has Pelipper deliver your drinks and food to far away Pokémon, including the mythical Pokémon Victini. It will also be a way to collect new outfits and unlock hidden skills to help with challenges.
Pokemon Unite gets Mayham mode.
A new type of quick combat lets players fight without cooldowns, making the MOBA even more chaotic. The Mythical Pokémon Hoopa also comes into play, which can be earned through play, along with Duraludon at a later date.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Glowing Pearl finally got shaymin,
The mythical grass type lives on a special island that you can only reach after receiving a special letter from Professor Oak. This event is now officially in-game. A few players, of course crept in early shortly after the game came out last November.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus The Daybreak update is now live.
The “free” version patch 1.1 focuses on mass breakout investigation and sounds like it will add new trainer battles. Players can also get 30 free Ultra, Gigaton, and Jet Balls by using the Mystery Code “ARCEUSADVENTURE” by March 31st.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus gets an anime adaptation.
It doesn’t have a name yet, but the Pokémon Company teased a new online series focused on the Hisui region with a piece of concept art showing a trainer stomping through a snowy forest.
Pokemon scarlet and violet are the next games in the series.

We haven’t heard anything about that yet Pokemon sleep.
Already teased in 2019the Pokemon sleep App should monitor your sleep and connect Pokemon Go. It sounded extremely creepy, and almost three years later we still don’t know how it works. Maybe the Pokémon Company isn’t edging either, so it’s quietly moved on.
And that’s all we’ve heard in today’s Pokémon gifts. A busy time for Pokémon indeed. Despite all the news we’ve received, fans are still waiting for major content updates Arcus and bdsp. Players got involved a hidden area in the former and players of the latter are still waiting for the Global Wonder Station to finish construction. In the meantime, Pokémon fans can surely find plenty to focus on scarlet and violet Follower.
