Earlier today, a trailer for an unannounced – and supposedly canceled – online video Spider-Man Insomniac spin-off game leaked on Reddit and social media. The trailer shows several players taking on the roles of various famous spider heroes as they explore New York City and other universes.
In the leaked trailer for Spider-Man: The Big Webwe hear Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker, introducing the game’s concept and explaining: “Sometimes you can make it as a lone wolf, but you’re much better off with a few friends.” He also fears that the evil Sinister Six – a Group of famous Spidey villains, including Doc Ock – intensify their activities and become more dangerous and “savage”. “I don’t think I’ll be enough this time, guys. But together we could be,” says Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. So this is where other players would come into play and work together against criminals all over New York City.
The trailer shows what appears to be the possibility of playing as Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099, etc even Venom. It also hints at other universes tied to the game’s main setting that use portals that look a lot like they came from the cartoon Spiderverse Films. Combat and exploration just seem to be ripped out Spider Man 2 on PS5.
