I have heard the terrible news of your opening Crossing the Animals: New Horizons the gates shall reach to the reeds. I've seen turnip bouncers, long lines, and flowers trimmed down. I never thought to post the Dodo Code publicly, but my prices have been changing since the launch of the game. But on Wednesday, everything changed. My Turnip tracker reported on a potential spike Wednesday afternoon, but I couldn't believe it until I saw it: Timmy and Tommy were buying turnips at 539 pop.
I had to share the wealth. (But I have to admit, I was denied the promise of tip advice.) I opened the gates for my Vox Media colleagues and to strangers.
As it turned out, it was no a difficult night, without the constant interlude of "Looks like you're here!" Partly because I made $ 7 million worth of tips, but what I really found was friendship and communication. Don't laugh! I'm right.
I kept my gates open from noon until 9 p.m. Most of the time, I had Crossing the Animals: New Horizons not coming to the television screen while I was working. I packed my character, wearing a new Gucci dress, on a bridge that the tourists had to allow to reach Nook's Canny. At one point, I was happy as people passed by when they came out and out, but I didn't do much. I listened to the foot traffic across the bridge, when others would stop me and approach me before entering through Nook Cranny's door. Occasionally, I could hear the sound of someone dropping bags or metal gifts before the plane went home.
Like many of you, I'm stuck inside right now. I left my house only on an important trip to buy at the store or the doctor's office. But the truth is, life is not very different to me. About a month before COVID-19 began to spread in North America, I had surgery to remove a tumor from my bone marrow. The surgery means that a lot of the time is already at home, but before that, I didn't feel like anything was going to go away. I was sick or depressed and I spent a lot of time at my home, where I am now.
Living at home is not “normal” to me; it's normal. But it doesn't make it difficult. I'm not alone – I have my husband and two pets – but I miss the outside world. I remember chatting with dog lovers in the park during my lunch break. I remember whispering to the owner of the hot restaurant we regars. Of course, I still talk to my friends and family regularly, but I miss the wrong kind of communication I had. It's not something I've experienced for a while.
So, I was surprised when I had that awesome feeling of easy communication out by listening to people’s grinding sounds about my island. It was even more surprising, given how frustrating Nintendo's online gaming is – everything is stopped when someone arrives or leaves. If I was actively trying to play, I would have had a very different experience.
Instead, even when the game started to get stronger, it felt more social, albeit with limited communication of New Horizons. It reminded me of the feeling I had when I started playing with other people in it Pokémon sword and A shoeWilderness Area. While The sword and A shoeOnline gaming is limited to how players can interact, while still feeling alive. New HorizonsInteraction is real-time, allowing simultaneous interaction and communication. But as I read on Wednesday, I say that is not about building a living world.
I loved that every time I looked in the mirror, there were always people coming, some returning to my island having changed their clothes for the second visit. Once, when I looked up I saw a turnip vendor watering all my flowers. Each time one camp shone at the end of the day, not one could bring myself. Later, I learned that my workmate had re-planted the weeds on the river bank. (I like New Horizons & # 39; weeds.)
Somewhere during the day, a visitor gave me a space suit. A few hours later, someone left me a helmet in astrology – a pleasant surprise. Of course, New Horizons it will never be a real world place, as I brought it back a few weeks ago. But until orders to stay home, that's when you'll find me. I have $ 7 million in my bank account.
