In a lawsuit describing a disgusting culture of harassment at Activision Blizzard, Overwatch and call of Duty
T-Mobile has long been a sponsor of the Overwatch and call of Duty Leagues. And while the telecommunications giant hasn’t officially commented on a rift, most signs suggest it has occurred. Kotaku turned to T-Mobile but didn’t stop in time for the release.
As Dexter indicates that the sites for both Overwatch League and the call of Duty Ligen removed the reference to T-Mobile sometime in July. On July 21st both wore the T-Mobile logo. That wasn’t the case until July 31, either. The 20th entry period for T-Mobile call of Duty The competition was tacitly canceled. In addition, team members of the New York Subliners, a call of Duty Team, seem to have the T-Mobile logo stuck on their jerseys, which is hilarious, you have to admit.
On July 20, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing Lawsuit filed against Activision Blizzardwho accuse a deeply ingrained systemic culture of abuse, sexual harassment and discrimination. One disturbing claim (made by many) mentioned a so-called “Cosby suite“, A potential breeding ground for misconduct at BlizzCon 2013. Last week, employees at the Activision Blizzard campus in Irvine, California, held a strike; many more took part virtually to stay safe in the era of covid-19.

Blizzard President J. Allen Brack officially resigned from his place. He will be replaced by two co-leads: Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra, who have both been with the company for less than two years. For what it’s worth, Ybarra visited Last week’s work stoppage. However, both statements by Brack and Blizzard specifically failed to address the serious allegations made against the company.
It’s unclear if other high profile sponsors plan to pull out of Activision Blizzard’s esports efforts. Kotaku reached yout to various sponsors of the Overwatch and call of Duty Leagues. At the time of going to press, no one had replied.
