A number of Exotics were introduced Destiny 2Revenant. As of Act 1, there are at least three armor exotics and two weapons. And while a surprise exotic mission could always crop up, we know for certain that an exotic mission will be available at some point during Revenant – likely in Act 3, like in Echoes.
Included Destiny 2: Revenant Guide, we’ll walk you through each of the new Exotics in this episode and how to get them. We’ll update this guide throughout the episode as new Exotics are released.
Alethonym Stasis Breach Grenade Launcher
Alethonym is a rare type of exotic and only the second primary ammunition piercing grenade launcher ever. He also deals Stasis damage, meaning he lives in the top slot while the other primary grenade launcher, Fighting Lion, lives in the energy slot.
The main exotic advantage of Alethonym is Harvester Spikewhich results in remains from killings with weapons. Stronger enemies produce more remains. Absorbing a Remnant allows you to activate its secondary benefit. Stunted alchemy. After collecting enough Remnants to charge 50% of the Remnant Alchemy bar, you can perform a special reload so that the next shot creates a special Ammo Stone for you and your allies. At 100% energy, you can craft a heavy stone instead.
Alethonym is the Season Pass Exotic and is available immediately to Revenant owners. For free-to-play players, you need to get the season pass to rank 40. A catalyst for Alethonym will be available later in the episode.
Ice Breaker, the popular exotic sniper rifle from the original Determination
It’s not quite the infinite-ammo weapon it once was. Instead, when you get kills with weapons other As an Icebreaker, you regenerate Icebreaker ammo, up to 10 shots. Meanwhile, the Icebreaker perk causes defeated enemies to explode.
Blastwave Striders titanium leg armor
Blastwave Striders are stasis-focused titanium legs. Your main advantage, Blastwave Stridersgives you resistance to blast self-damage. Defeating enemies charges armor. Once the armor is charged, you can either deal explosive damage to yourself or slide to trigger an explosion that will send you leaping backwards and scattering stasis crystals across the arena. This explosion also grants you Frost Armor.
