Standing in VR is cool. Feel like you're really standing in the world that can be seen. And with a little experience and mini games, this is great. But with something new Half-Life: Alyx, standing for hours and hours, and getting so close together, it can start to make you feel sad and tired. So I just sat down. I recommend it.
If you get a chance to play Half-Life: Alyx, you have to stop at the beginning. It's cool to bend down and hold something or actually crawl through a hole in the wall or the back of a car to cover it with gunfire.
But soon, you may start to feel your knees and back pain. It happens to me. I put the cushion pack under my feet while playing to help save my feet and knees, and it happened, slowly. But in the end, the difficulty of standing for hours became so great that I had to stop playing.
The thing is, I don't want to stop playing. This is new Half life the game! After waiting ten years for this game madan and borrowing the Valve Index and set it all up, I wasn't ready to stop playing after only three hours. So I was struggling with a few settings and found that the game was set up in a way that allowed me to play and sit down in my office chair.
I admit that, at first, this was strange. Sitting down while Alyx ran around the world she smiled. I probably felt guilty. But since my body was free of stress and there was no pain in my knees, I played for hours. I've also found that I can focus more on the world and on puzzles.
Before I sat down, I was fast in places, trying to reach my full potential before my spine or feet started. i was very sad and had to stop. This meant that I had lost a lot of information that was full of levels Half-Life: Alyx. It also meant that some puzzles and encounters with combat were very difficult because I knew, suffering from pain.
But to sit down to play Alyx, I could slow down and really explore places. For example, I could spend a lot of time looking at new models or picking up a dead headcrab. I also read newspapers and magazines scattered around City 17.
I also found that having a button that allows me to get really low was more effective in firefighters and when solving other puzzles. I'm tall and down and up, with a big VR headset and an expensive controller on your hands, it's fun. So being able to click the left stick to push it down was fun.
For others with more status or specialty, they will be able to play all Alyx without needing a seat. And that's good for them. I'm happy for them. But I'm not ashamed to admit that I prefer to stay longer instead of longer. I don't think I'm alone. So, for those who plan to play Alyx or the current players, don't feel bad if you need to take a break. Just hold the chair and take a seat. Then continue playing.
Alyx I will not judge you, neither will I.
