Eight months after Mera's first pregnancy was revealed, Queen Atlantis and her daughter-in-law welcomed a baby girl into their deep sea state. The little princess is noisy and healthy, and her mother is resting in a stable … after spending a lot of effort making a kaiju version of herself made of mind-controlled water to fight the giant robot.
The jokes are good soap operators. And under the pen of writer Kelly Sue DeConnick, I have no doubt that Mera will live that long in the truth – she may be gaining some great power out of it.
What else happens to our favorite comics pages? We'll tell you. Welcome to Polygon's weekly list of books our editor enjoyed this past week. It's part of a larger life community, part reading recommendations, part "look at this cool art." There may be spoilers. There may not be enough context. If you missed last week, read this. Let's get started!
Aquaman # 57
I guess the delivery was a water birth?
Wolverine # 1 mentioned two stories instead of one, and I think it's important that the second one is about how Logan's blood results in being a superfood for vampires, and Dracula wants it really bad.
I've already told you that there are new Dragon Age comics going around, but I think you would also like to know that Fenris & # 39; s voice actor, Gideon Emery, records his take on this elvhen warrior's move all soft on a dog with a motto.
SupermanPal Jimmy Olsen # 8
How can I send a great comic superhero do My brother, my brother, and me goof?
Made in DC: The Unkillables # 1
DCeased: Unkillables # 1 is the first DC series to happen to citizens during the zombie apocalypse, and this page has made its rounds due to the law of humor. Not only does Jason Todd say that he cannot be judged during the apocalypse but more careful words are "apocalypse" rather than "apocalypse." Chef kiss emoji.
New Mutants # 7
Instead of glittering through certain events in narrative, New Mutants # 7 introduces a feature where one of the characters performs problematic events before they occur, so the characters just go a little further. This is a joke that only works once, but it really worked for me.
Batman # 89
Tynion's Batman has been raping the Joker's big plan, and it looks like he's going to start the bat family – as usual.
