Ariana Grande is the next actress to get a giant Fourteen days Concert in the game. The pop star will be seen in the game as part of the Rift Tour event in August, Epic Games announced on Sunday with a short teaser video on Twitter.
The Rift Tour event will be a huge in-game musical spectacle, adding several cosmetic items to the game, including an official Ariana Grande Icon series outfit in the shop – when certain leaks are correct.
While several other singers have performed Fourteen days Shows last year, none of them have reached the heights – or had full in-game events – like Travis Scott in 2020. However, it seems that Grandes Event is likely to be on par with Scott’s, if not more bigger, at least based on the details Epic has revealed so far. The event could feature more gameplay sections than Scott’s last year, or even guest artists, but so far Epic has only revealed Grande to headline the event.
During Scott’s in-game concert, the Fourteen days map turned into a semi-choreographed music video, changing colors, turning players upside down and flying them through space as a massive version of the rapper danced around the map, translating his signature stage energy straight into the game. Players even had the chance to join the fun with a Travis Scott outfit and emote for players to purchase in the in-game shop.
The Rift Tour begins August 6th at 6 p.m. ET in America with its first engagement. Next, the event will take place globally on August 7th at 2 p.m. ET. The event will be live for players in Asia and Oceania on August 8th at 12pm ET, while players in the EU and ME will be able to enter on August 8th at 10am ET, and will end with an encore for America on August 8th 6 p.m. ET.
Epic originally wanted to announce more information about the Rift Tour on August 2nd, but it’s not clear whether the developer prematurely released this teaser video because leakers and data miners discovered files for Ariana Grande in the game, or more will be announced on Monday.
