I wrote that in January Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was too long, and that was before two full expansions for it were released during that time Year. Now is the game Another one, as well as some missions for its predecessor Assassin’s Creed Odyssey such as.
For me, even as a very serious and long-time fan of this series, that’s just too much! I’m grudgingly finished Valhallas Ireland expanded and jumped in on the Parisians for a couple of missions because I just had enough of the game. And from the whole “Ubisoft formula” to be honest, since I immediately ricocheted off Far Cry 6, and I even struggle with it Halo: Infinite also, as it has raised so much of the same open world game design “Tower of Conquest to Unlock Missions on the Map”.
So the prospect of playing any kind of game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla at all in 2022 Sounds like a loop to me, twice as much when you recognize this extension – called Dawn of Ragnarok– focuses on the Asgard map, by far the worst part of the game as it was. Well, the trailer is nice! And I appreciate that it will also go to great lengths to show a number of things that are clearly gameplay features:
Perhaps more interesting is the simultaneous announcement of Crossover stories, which adds two new missions Valhalla and Odysseygiving us a trailer that looks like some Deviantart fan art is coming to life:
the Crossover stories Missions will be released on December 14th and can be downloaded for free while Ragnarok, a much larger expansion – Ubisoft says it is “the most ambitious expansion in franchise history” – won’t be released until March.
I know I’ve just said a few mean things about Valhalla, but to end this on a positive note, it will be nice to dip my toes back into the Mediterranean and catch up with Kassandra again.
