Cody Rhodes is arguably the best man in the company and continues to perform at his best. Ever since he defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 to win the biggest prize in all of wrestling, the WWE Championship, Rhodes has been a fixture at the top of the roster.
During the summer, “The American Nightmare” had to constantly fend off members of the Bloodline, a faction he had been battling against for over a year. At SummerSlam, Rhodes defeated the group thanks to his former rival, when Roman Reigns came to the AEW founding member’s aid by hitting his own cousin Solo Sikoa with a Spear and a Superman Punch.
With the Bloodline behind him for the time being, Rhodes needed a new opponent. This challenge came in the form of Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin. The crowd was thrilled by this cracker match. Rhodes was able to defend the WWE title after a final “Cross Rhodes” finisher and is now waiting for his next challenger.
Something tells me the bloodline isn’t finished with him yet.
