The best XM4 loadout is probably the first weapon you will see in the BlackOps 6 Beta, because like almost every Call of Duty game, the all-around assault rifle is one of the first – and best – you unlock.
While only a fraction of what’s included in the full game is available, there are plenty of attachments to choose from when leveling the XM4. You’ll want to play to the XM4’s strengths – it can destroy at range and hold its own in close combat – so the attachments and class we’ve chosen will support that.
Here is the best XM4 loadout in the BlackOps 6 Beta, along with the best class to use with it.
Best XM4 Gear in Black Ops 6
Before we begin: Since the beta is only available for a limited time, we have not selected any attachments that require the weapon to be leveled all the way to the max (which is level 46 on the XM4) as this is not entirely feasible in the beta and we want to make sure the build is accessible to everyone.
Here is the best XM4 loadout in BlackOps 6 Beta:
- Optics: PrismaTech Reflex
- Barrel: Long run
- Lower reaches: Vertical foregrip
- Rear handle: Quickdraw handle
- Share: Lightweight material
First of all, the XM4 has a pretty restrictive sight, so using an optical attachment is a must. The very first one you unlock is the PrismaTech Reflexis more than capable of fixing this problem. Alternatively, if you’re using one of the other weapons available in the beta, the Volzhskiy Reflex is a solid choice, but requires leveling up the AK-74 to level five first.
At the beginning, the Gain-Twist Barrel attachment will do the job, but once you have the Long run at level 21 you should equip it. This helps enormously in long-range shooting, as the damage range is significantly increased. Similarly, the Vertical foregrip helps you keep your eye on your target, although at level 20 you may want to opt for the Precision Foregrip.
All previous attachments are designed for long-range use. To ensure that you can keep up in close combat, opt for the Quickdraw handle which increases your ADS (aim down sight) speed. The ergonomic grip is arguably better, but at level 39 there’s a big chance you won’t unlock it during the beta window.
Finally, we have the Lightweight material. This is the only attachment where you might opt for something else – probably the Heavy Stock – depending on whether you need more help up close or far. The Light Stock means your hip fire and lateral movement speeds are improved, which can be huge if you’re surprised up close, but if you’re having trouble landing shots at range due to flinching, opt for the Heavy Stock instead.
Best XM4 class in Black Ops 6
Here is the best XM4 class for use in BlackOps 6 Beta:
- Secondary: GS45
- Close Combat: Knife
- Tactics: concussion
- Deadly: Ask
- Field Upgrade: Trophy system
- Advantage 1: Spirit
- Advantage 2: tracker
- Advantage 3: alertness
- Specialty: Greed for advantage
- Greed for advantage: Flak vest
The options are limited in the beta, so this is a pretty standard class with a pistol, stun and frag grenade as other deadly options. The Trophy system is the best choice for your field upgrade as it blocks all incoming projectiles and, if you are positioned at a distance, these are one of the main causes of your elimination.
The perks are the most interesting part of this class because we use the special system. If you equip three perks of the same color, you will get a bonus perk. In this case Spirit, engineerAnd alertness are all blue perks, so we get the recon specialty, which gives us x-ray vision for a few moments after respawning so we can see the outlines of enemies, we get a HUD (heads-up display) flash when an enemy is just outside of our field of vision, and we don’t leave skulls behind when we kill enemies.
Ghost means you are invisible to enemy radar pings and UAVs while moving or interacting, Engineer allows you to see enemy equipment and scorestreaks through walls, and Vigilance displays a HUD icon whenever you appear on an enemy minimap, And It makes you immune to Counter UAVs, Scramblers, and Sleeper Agents (the last two don’t seem to be included in the beta, though).
Finally, we have the wildcard. In the beta, you have two options: Overkill, which allows you to carry a second primary weapon, or Greed for advantagewhich offers an additional selection of benefits. We chose the latter because the XM4 is so well suited to all types of engagement, and the benefit we chose is Flak vestto protect you from explosive damage when you do not have a trophy system activated.
