Two Call of Duty development veterans have founded a new studio, Deviation Games, and will partner with Sony Interactive Entertainment to develop a new franchise for PlayStation Studios.
Dave Anthony and Jason Blundell announced their new project during the Summer Game Fest kickoff show on Thursday. in the an accompanying contribution On the PlayStation Blog, Anthony said, “It’s too early to go into specific details of the new project.
“We’re not afraid to say that our ambitions are very high,” said Anthony. “We’re set to make a huge, content-rich game with a focus on lots of action and lots of energy, but let’s leave it at that for now and hopefully it won’t be long before we can share more.”
Anthony and Blundell have worked together “for donkey years,” said Anthony. (The year of a donkey is about 3 human years.) The two are veterans of Treyarch, the maker of the Call of Duty: Black Ops sub-series.
