Black widow I got a new release date last week and now there’s a new “final” trailer. With all the delays in the film, Marvel doesn’t seem to want to reveal much more of the plot, so this latest trailer includes some new scenes and many that we’ve seen before.
The trailer begins with a familiar narration from previous previews of the film. Black Widow recounts how she had a previous life, one before her time as an Avenger. And while previous trailers focused on people she knew from her previous life, like Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Alexei Shostakov (David Harbor), and Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), this is the first time we’ve actually seen flashbacks have all the way back to Natasha’s childhood and how far her connection with these characters goes back.
Of course there is more than just history in the trailer. There’s also our best look yet at Taskmaster, the movie’s obvious villain. The Taskmaster is sent to hunt down Natasha, and it appears he can keep up with her on any move, including fighting in mid-air on a seemingly wrecked plane or satellite. The entire back half of the trailer is full of action, and it seems so Black widow Maybe we’ll take us around the globe to finally find out something about Natasha’s past.
As an added bonus, the trailer ends with a fantastic new Russian-inspired take on the Avengers theme.
Black widow has been delayed for over a year but is currently released on July 9th when it hits theaters via Premier Access and after Disney Plus.
