Beedle, the friendly traveling merchant The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, gets around safely and manages to cover almost every corner of the map during your adventures. It turns out he has a secret in his breadth Coverage: There’s more than one of these.
After learning that Beedle actually was four Beedles, and that each of them exists as a completely separate NPC in the game’s code, ThornyFox decided there was only one thing to do with that knowledge: Bring all four together for a photo.
And so they went on a quest to find each Beedle and then slapped them on their butts in a certain direction so they could be thrown off course a bit. You can see it in action in the video below.
If you’re thinking, “Man, that must have taken a long time,” you’re right. ThornyFox says: “It took me 10 hours. I’ve had a lot of time to think about my life choices.”

Unfortunately the Beedlecon 2022 could not last long. Because of the way breath of the wild handling the passage of time and placement of NPC characters, there was no way to keep all four in the same place forever. As ThornyFox explains to a Reddit user asking about the video:
Q: But this is temporary, right? Does saving save the location of NPCs? I wouldn’t think so. Oh no…
A: Unfortunately no, many things they can despawn including save and reload, teleport and sleep by the campfire (which I learned the hard way)
Ah, but nothing lasts forever. It’s not the destination that matters, but the grueling journey it took to get there and the four friends found along the way who… attacked you relentlessly for 10 hours just to take a selfie, and whom took it all in their stride because Beedle always has been and always will be remain the most unshakable type in zelda Universe.
