As Bungie continues its warpath against destiny 2 Scammers, the studio won $12 million in the lawsuit against Romanian scammers-seller Mihai Claudiu-Florentin that started back in 2021.
Claudiu-Florentin sold cheat software at VeteranCheats that allowed users to gain an edge over other players with software that tweaked things like their aim and let them see through walls. Of course, Bungie argued that the software was malicious destiny 2‘s competitive and cooperative mode and has won the case against the seller. The lawsuit alleges “copyright infringement, violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), breach of contract, willful interference with contractual relationships and violations of the Washington Consumer Protection Act.” (Thanks, TheGamePost).

Here, but the gist is that Bungie is seeking total damages of $12,059,912.98, with $11,696,000 for violations of the DMCA, $146,662.28 for violations of copyright law, and $217,250.70 -dollars to be used towards the studio’s legal fees.
