Chainsaw Man’s first anime is likely to come from MAPPA this summer

Chainsaw man was one of the most popular mangas in the world during its two-year run, and we’ll soon have our first look at the anime. The adaptation is done by MAPPA, the studio behind it Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on the Titan Final Seasonand it seems that the show will appear during the Event for the 10th anniversary of the studio on June 27th.

On Friday the officially Chainsaw man Twitter account tweeted a link to Event website for the 10th anniversary of MAPPAwhere the art of Chainsaw Man is on the agenda. The series anime teaser website, chainsaw.dog, now also has a link to the MAPPA event schedule. While it’s clear that the show will be held at MAPPA in some way, we don’t know if this will include a trailer and an announcement of the release date, or just the reveal of more art.

Chainsaw man is written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Set in a world full of evil creatures called Devils, the manga follows the story of Denji, a human-devil hybrid who teamed up with his chainsaw-shaped dog Pochita – who was really a devil in disguise – to create the ultimate devil hunter.
