EA Sports College Football 25 was a hit before it was even fully released. This became this best-selling game of the year so farknock out Helldivers 2 and and Madden NFL 25. Now it’s off to a victory lap with another massive update and the addition of an in-game generative AI tool.
The October title update for College football 25 Adds player skill updates, rating adjustments, and over 700 new players. There are many typical bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, but also something completely new for an EA sports game: Adobe Express. The program allows players to design custom logos for stadiums and jerseys College football 25s Team Builder mode, either from scratch or with generative AI.
“Team Builder is getting an upgrade!” reads the developer comments section of the patch notes. “We are excited to announce a new partnership with our friends at Adobe. Adobe Express, a content and design creation tool, is now integrated into Team Builder as an optional feature, allowing you to express your creativity and customize your experience in more ways than ever before.”
Players must have an existing Adobe account and pay for the generative tool out of their own pocket, but will initially receive 25 credits. Some players already use Adobe to create their designs and import them separately, while others prefer to use the in-game tools. “God I hope they keep the Adobe thing optional because I’m afraid it’ll become all Adobe by the next game so they can do this partnership and get more money out of this game,” one fan wrote in the subreddit. “Also, at least for me, Adobe is a slow tool.”
Earlier this year, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said said that AI toolsincluding machine learning, were the only way to achieve this College football 25with thousands upon thousands of unique players from all different schools, could be created. It is the first new installment in the franchise since its name in 2013 NCAA Football 14th. And whether due to pent-up demand or the explosion in popularity of college football in recent years, College football 25 has already become the best-selling sports game alwaysaccordingly the market data company Circana.
