You may be wondering why people assumed Project Dragon would be a Spyro game ever. Only in March of this year there were rumors that a new Spyro Gamethe fourth installment in the series, was currently in development. These rumors suggested that the developer Toys For Bob was behind the project, and Kole previously worked for Toys For Bob on the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. This story combined with the name, Project Dragonmade some believe that Spyro4 was the cancelled title. In response to a fan’s question, Kole replied replied with the words: “It is not Spyro, but one day people will be Crash 5 it was never like that and it will break hearts.” I’m sorry, but you can’t just drop this without giving an explanation and without going into detail! People need to know more. Kole clarified that Project Dragon is separated from Crash 5The last main line Crash Bandicoot Game, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Timewas released in 2020 and was also developed by Toys For Bob.

As for Project DragonKole shared a lot of concept art for the project as well as details about what the game was actually about. Kole described it as a “cozy sandbox survival crafting multiplayer RPG” inspired by Minecraft‘s buildable block world and the quests of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildKole has a big thread on social media about his work on the project, as well as some animations and soundtrack snippets from other former developers on the project.
