Critical Role’s Matt Mercer will return to the Dome in Dimension 20’s latest Dungeons & Dragons series, titled Dungeons & Dragons The raging war. The All-Star table will feature veteran Dungeon Masters Aabria Iyengar and Brennan Lee-Mulligan as players, along with Lou Wilson (Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The King of Staten Island), Zac Oyama (Dimension 20, Not Another D&D Podcast) and Anjali Bhimani (Mrs Miracle). The first episode starts on May 10th at the dropout and continues thereafter youtube
This isn’t the first time Mercer has teamed up with the intrepid heroes of Dimension 20 and vice versa, but this time the stakes seem to be particularly high. That’s because the team is returning to one of their most popular series for a prequel, A crown of candy. It’s about a world called Calorum, whose kingdoms are each based on different food groups. It sounds childish, of course, but it’s actually one of the more dramatic series the troupe has done to date.

The series will of course include the now de facto custom made miniatures and dioramas of The Incredible Rick Perry.
While Critical Role continues to push new projects including a science fantasy audio drama called Center!Fans of cast members Lee-Mulligan, Iyengar and Wilson fall in love with Worlds Beyond Number’s The Wizard, the Witch and the Savage. It’s a shiny new D&D podcast with tons of bespoke music and sound effects. You can learn more about his inspirations in our in-depth interview with the cast.
