The Last Ronin Comic will be converted into an action-oriented single player video game that will play similar to God of War. The popular and gritty 2020 comic, a spin-off of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Series, stars as the last remaining turtle in a war-ravaged wasteland.
While most people think TMNT As a cartoony, family-friendly children’s brand, the actual franchise is far more diverse than that, with comics that go darker than anything you’d find on Nickelodeon. This isn’t an odd offshoot or an occasional one-off either. The original comics that started it all were gritty and violent, with sharp black-and-white art and turtles that were less radical and more dangerous. And The Last Ronin, a 2020 limited comic series written by the original co-Creators of the franchise, returned TMNT to its coarser, more adult roots. Now, this fan-favorite comic is being transformed into a major action-adventure video game by an undisclosed studio.
In conversation with igamesnews, Doug Rosen, senior vice president of games and emerging media at Paramount Global, revealed the existence of the new, yet untitled game. told roses igamesnews that the upcoming third-person action role-playing game will be comparable to the recent one God of War entries. He also assured fans that the game’s story will be “authentic.” The Last Ronin comic series.
This means that unlike most others TMNT Games, this upcoming adventure will become the only surviving turtle in the dark, distant future of Last Ronin Universe. So don’t expect all your favorite turtles and splinter to be hanging out in the sewers eating pizza and partying in this upcoming game. Because all but one are dead. (The identity of the lone survivor is actually a big mystery in the comic and I won’t reveal it here.)

Rosen also told igamesnews that just because TMNT is a brand popular with kids doesn’t mean the developers have to “recall” what’s coming Last Ronin Game to make it “something it shouldn’t be”. He went on to explain that he “sees opportunities for several TMNT Games that cater to both young and more mature age groups” and so on TMNT Owner Paramount will take different approaches to creating content for each group. For example, TMNT Villain Shredder shows up call of Duty.

Rosen said the game is still “a couple of years away.” Rosen was also seemingly excited about where this game might end up when it finally releases in the future. At the moment you can go play TMNT: Shedder’s Revenge this is awesome and out now.
