Deadpool officially joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe dead pool 3, which got a teaser video on Tuesday. The video was released by Wade Wilson himself, Ryan Reynolds, and was more of a real-life teaser than an actual trailer. But Reynolds reveals that dead pool 3 is on the way, and more importantly, Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine for the film. The film even has a release date: September 6, 2024.
In the clip, Reynolds explains that they’ve been working on the film for a long time but have run out of ideas on how to revive the mercenary for the MCU. But they have a trick up their sleeve, says Reynolds, and then Hugh Jackman comes by in the background. Reynolds quickly invites him back into his most famous role. The video then cuts to a Deadpool logo with the familiar three-clawed slash in the middle.

Deadpool was one of the characters that 20th Century Fox (along with The X-Men and The Fantastic Four) licensed in a deal dating back nearly two decades. Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox meant these heroes and their super teams could now become part of the cinematic universe that Disney has managed since 2009.
