destiny 2 has since received a number of hotfixes incidence of light Extension launched a few weeks ago, but none like yesterday’s update. A fix not mentioned in the patch notes secretly altered the game’s latest warlock armband armor to make it look less like a vagina.

Binding of Loathing is a class item that drops destiny 2‘s new raid “Root of Nightmares”. which went live on March 10th and focuses on Nezarec, an old student of the game’s nemesis, The Witness. Until Thursday it could have been mistaken for an alien Fleshlight, mainly because of a small horizontal slit on the front.

It looks like an eyeball, maybe, not really. Its resemblance to a vulva was particularly noticeable when certain shaders were applied. Players suggested all sorts of names for it – Witnussy, Nezussy, Nezzylight – but “Bondussy” stuck.

As first reported by forbesPaul Tassi, Bungie has now stepped in to take the lust a notch lower. This week’s hotfix fixes a number of bugs. The biggest change from patch notes was a fix for the infamous Thresher gunships that had been murdering players across the solar system. Completely unmentioned is the fact that the hotfix also removed the Bondussy’s slit to make it look less suggestive. It’s just a giant space pearl now.

Stealth content changes and visual tweaks like this are rare, partly because the destiny 2 The community is hypersensitive to any change, no matter how small, in their sci-fi universe. Bungie Removed a piece of armor in 2017 because it had an alt-right symbol of Nazi origin. Bondussy wasn’t hate speech, although it clearly had to run counter to Bungie’s broader artistic intentions for the raid armor. Or maybe the studio just didn’t like the nickname “Bondussy.”
