Early today, most of the world is practically shut down thanks to an IT outage. A cybersecurity company called Crowdstrike released an update that locked up millions of PCs around the world, resulting in Blue Screens of Death (BSODs) worldwide. You may have even seen the Ball in Vegas! We have never come so close to a true millennium moment, but the Fate 2 The community took the whole thing lightly.
This is because Crowdstrike sounds very much like Cloudstrike, an existing weapon in Fate 2. In fact, they sound so similar that if you search for “Cloudstrike” on Twitter, you’ll mostly find posts from people talking about the outage. People are now convinced that Cloudstrike is the name of the company that brought almost the entire world to a standstill this morning, leading to some confusion online.
In reality, Cloudstrike is an exotic Arc sniper rifle introduced in 2020. Beyond the Light Expansion. Cloud Strike Is a pretty effective weapon that creates a powerful lightning bolt at the point of impact after several consecutive critical hits. Despite this incredible ability, I don’t think it is capable of taking out the entire world in this way.
Suffice it to say, Fate 2 Fans went online today completely confused that a four-year-old weapon is trending and bringing the world to its knees. But that didn’t stop them from making a few jokes.
Some people working on the game seem to be having fun. One of them Fate 2
I’m glad there are some people out there enjoying it. Now that Trials of Osiris is back up and running for the weekend, I expect some of you to be running around with Cloudstrike in honor of today’s historic event.
