This was announced by the Pokémon Company Pokemon scarlet and Pokemon Violet during the Pokemon Day presentation on Sunday and with that we were introduced to three new starter Pokemon. They’re all very cute, and I’ve already decided who I’ll pick when the game comes to Nintendo Switch later this year. (It’s Fuecoco.)
The three new Pokémon are Sprigatito, a “capricious, attention-grabbing grass cat Pokémon”; Fuecoco, a “relaxed Fire Croc Pokémon that does things at its own pace”; and Quaxly, a “upright and neat Duckling Pokémon”.

Pokemon scarlet and Pokemon Violet are expected on Nintendo Switch later this year. The Pokémon Company called it an “open world where different cities seamlessly flow into the wild without borders”. Pokémon will appear everywhere, the company said — “in the skies, in the sea, and on the streets.”
