First published in 2012 after years of development, Black Mesa was originally a free downloadable mod that recreated most of them Half-life Using the more powerful Source engine. The game was developed by a large group of fan modders called the Crowbar Collective. In 2015, the team released a paid version of the mod after receiving approval from Valve. Finally in 2020The game has been updated to include all Xen levels and other improvements. Since then, people have been wondering what Crowbar Collective would work on next, and now we know.
On November 11th, Team17 and Crowbar unveiled Collective the first trailer for Villain point. A press release for Villain point explains the structure of the game: After the richest man in the world dies, his huge empire is at the disposal of my mercenaries and other companies. You are part of an independent and elite tactical group dedicated to stopping the dangerous corporate warfare and the mercenaries involved.
Here is the first trailer for the newly announced game:
Villain point is a cooperative tactical shooter for four players It revolves around planning and executing missions to complete runs. According to a response from a developer on Reddit, each run is different and is dynamically generated using a mix of hand-crafted assets and randomly selected elements. AMA also revealed that that the game supports single player and offline play. Villain point is developed with Unreal Engine 4. As players complete missions and progress through a run, they unlock new abilities and advance their Operator, similar to progression systems in other rogue-lite games.
