Gameloft’s Disney version animal crossing hasn’t been in Early Access for long, but the life simulator already seems ready to take over the world. It helps that there’s a lot more Disney Dreamlight Valley Content coming down the pike, as per today’s announcement at the big D23 Expo.

Sometime in autumn 2022, dream light Players will welcome Woody, Buzz, and Andy’s room in a new content update. And yes, they will be true to size, which means they are tiny. From the trailer, you too will be shrunk to the size of an ant during the story portion of the update. However, my favorite pieces are the obvious new clothing options. You can wear Woody’s ensemble, which comes with a huge extendable drawstring, though it doesn’t serve any function at all. Fashion!

While technically a major Disney-themed fan event, D23 also highlights the latest developments in the world of House of Mouse video games. Friday’s premiere stage was a full showcase for both Marvel and Disney games, and if that wasn’t clear The largest entertainment company in the world has focused on video games beforenow it should be time.

In case of Disney Dreamlight Valleywell, the game was already in pretty good shape to start with. The slice-of-life simulation syncs with real-time and allows your favorite Disney characters to move in with you on an island that you can decorate extensively. But not how animal crossing, dream light valley is more of a full-fledged RPG where you can farm, craft, and complete extensive quests. Through lighthearted, clever dialogue, the characters manage to both surprise and delight, even as they remain loyal to their film peers. There are currently bugs that might interfere with your quests, but damn it if it isn’t already addicting.

Gameloft has made it clear that it intends to provide long-term support for the game. Full release is slated for sometime in 2023, at which point it will be free to play (with some sort of microtransactions, of course). For now, Gameloft recommends players save their Dream Shards, so it sounds like they’ll be valuable once currencies really get into the game.

D23 also contained news about games like this Rumored game Captain America / Black Panther (it’s over Unexplored developer Amy Hennig!) and a reissue of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
