Does the choice of Holy Cedar Tablet matter in Diablo 4?

cedar, Choice, Diablo, Holy, matter, tablet

At the end of the prologue in diablo 4you will go on a quest called “rite of passage” just as you are attempting to invade Kyovashad – the capital of the Fractured Peaks region – with Lorath. The guard will stop you if you try to go through the gate and tell you that you must first write your sin on a sacred cedar tablet and burn it.

Does your choice matter? Which one should you choose? Let’s talk about it here Diablo 4 Guide.

Complete the Rite of Passage quest.

During this quest, Lorath plays the role of a grumpy old man and grumbles so much that he gets through without atonement. You, on the other hand, have to at least pretend to show remorse to move the story along.

In Diablo 4, a Sin Enrollment menu will appear

Follow the quest marker to the crate by the fire and interact with it. The game will ask you to choose one of the following options:

  • Label “fear“in the forest
  • Label “Fury“in the forest
  • Label “Proud“in the forest
  • Label “greed“in the forest
  • Label Nothing but scribbles in the wood

If you want to keep playing diablo 4you must choose one of these options and burn your sin (or nothingness).

Does the inscription on the Sacred Cedar Tablet matter in Diablo 4?

Your choice for the Holy Cedar Tablet does not matter – as far as we could tell – and is just a small taste of the busy nature of the Cathedral of Light. It’s always possible that Blizzard could do something with the election later (since everyone has to do it eventually), but it’s unlikely since you can skip the campaign, and thus the Holy Cedar Tablet ceremony, on later playthroughs.

Choose the option you want. Perhaps choose the sin you most identify with, or role-play the sin your character suffers from. Or give the Cathedral of Light a big middle finger and don’t doodle. The choice is yours and meaningless to anyone but you. This is a rare moment in life – an inconsequential choice – so enjoy it. Or not!
