The sprawling one Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update brought a new item to make island life easier for players: a Donation box. This piece of wooden furniture enables players to collect donations from island visitors.
How to find the donation box
The DIY recipe for the donation box is available from Nook Stop ATM in the dormitory, under the Redeem Nook Miles Section and will be available once you download and install the 2.0 update. the Prescription for the donation box
After learning the recipe, it costs four wood and four conifers to build. The donation box can be personalized with three surfaces and three decorative stickers as well as an individual design.
What is the donation box used for?
Once built, the donation box can be placed anywhere on your island. When players interact with it, they will be asked if they would like to donate 1,000 bells. If there is money in the donation box, the player whose island it is can also take out the bells.
The donation box seems likely to be a solution for gamers who want to thank others for visiting but fear that their gift will not be seen by the intended recipient. (Think of all the times you might have left someone tip during the turnip skewer when they were kind enough to open their gates to the world.)
During testing, we found that a visitor who came through a dodo code could donate 1,000 bells at the same time and said: “I deposited a few bells!” The only disadvantage? There is no way to change the amount you donate so it would take a long time to leave a lot of money safely. However, this is a safer option than leaving the bell bag on the floor and hoping for the best.
