Terrible hungerThe first patch of , Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing, is now live, giving Thralls even more tools for magical mayhem.

Terrible hunger is like a marriage between The Terror and Between us. An expedition to the Arctic has gone horribly wrong, and some of the missing crew have been replaced by malicious Thralls. The Explorers must try to escape without being killed while the Thralls try to stop them by any means necessary, including the aforementioned murder (and magic). Patch 1.1 is the first patch of the game after exiting Early Access.

Thralls can already summon a horde of terrifying beasts or an opaque blizzard, but now they have two new abilities: Silence and Doppelganger. Hush mutes explorers and creates a magical Skype call with the other Thrall so you can coordinate with your fellow imposter. Doppelganger is exactly what you’d expect from the name – you can transform into one of the Explorers and wreak havoc by launching the ship into the shallows, detonating an explosive, or hitting someone on the head with a giant bone.

Now the launch docks are much more useful. Players can visit vendors, craft new cosmetic gear, choose their thrall spells of choice from a spellbook, and hunt down scurrying rats. The patch also includes high-level balance adjustments and bug fixes to create a more stable and competitive experience. The patch notes state: “This includes a sabotage rework, a new way to compromise the ship, and thralls can now cast spells from the brig. We’re not going to go into detail about these changes just yet, as we’d love for you to dive right in and try them out for yourself.”
