Dry Leaf Dane is an NPC you will meet while exploring Scadu Altus in Fire ring‘S Shadow of the Earth Tree DLC. Technically, you can meet him a little earlier – as a summoning sign during the boss fight against Rellana, Twin Moon Knight in Castle Ensis.

Dryleaf Dane Location
You will find it Dry Leaf Dane while exploring Scadu Altus. You will find him in the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace.
Summoning Marks by Dryleaf Dane
Technically, your first encounter with Dryleaf Dane is right before the boss fight against Rellana, Twin Moon Knight. Both Dry Leaf Dane And Needle Knight Leda can be summoned to help you in battle.
Accept the gesture “May the best win” and the letter from the monk.
Your next step on Dane’s questline is the Highroad Cross, Place of Grace which you will find north of Castle Ensis – your first stop in the Scadu Altus region. As you approach the Place of Grace, you can pick up two items related to Dryleaf Dane: the Letter from the monk and that “May the best win” gesture.
The Monk’s Letter is a short note that simply states that a monk somewhere to the east wants you to challenge him to a fight. without words.
Challenge Dryleaf Dane at the Moorth Ruins
Upon your arrival at Moorth Ruins Site of GraceDryleaf Dane will be standing nearby. He will not speak to you, however – he is the monk from this letter, so you must challenge him without words. “May the best win” gesture in front of him and you will start a fight.
Once Dane is defeated, he will disappear and you will find the Dryleaf Arts weapon and Dane’s Hat helmet nearby on the ground.
