Yesterday, EA increased the overall price of gaming across a number of regions on Steam, causing some of them to cost nearly twice as much as Valve's store as they did in the EA market itself.
While the price of EA games for Steam remains unchanged in the US, anywhere from the UK to South Korea to Singapore to Mexico to, well, most of Europe you have seen an increase.
The ironic thing about travel is that it is completely incompatible. Some countries have seen price increases in one game but have been declining in another, and travel is so cheap that it can be just a twist on local currency fluctuations.
As JuniorDC9 noted today, in some cases game prices have almost doubled. SimCity 4 it is now $ 80 instead of R $ 35 in Brazil, while in Russia Multiple Result Collection that was ₽800 now ₽1700.
About the only game that is not affected Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order, the game that made EA back on Steam from the start.
