Aside from the moody tea back in February, details of the new Netflix series Eddy they are wrong. Now, the full trailer sheds more light on the series, directed by La La Land and The First Man
André Holland stars as Elliot Udo, who left his life in New York to start a jazz club, Eddy, in Paris. Unfortunately, the club's battles are still starting, as Elliot's business partner Farid (Tahar Rahim) may have been consolidated into a sham operation. As Elliot tries to keep things going, the arrival of her daughter Julie (Powers Stenberg) and she comes up with difficulties in her relationship with Major (Joanna Kulig), who puts her party in the house adding to her big part.
The trailer catches some of this concern as it becomes clear that Elliot may have bitten off more than chewed, and that what he left in New York might have gotten from him.
Eddy it is aired in eight episodes, all of which air on Netflix on May 8.
