Elden Ring boss is defeated by players who have completed the DLC

Much Fire ring Players are having problems with the recently released game Shadow of the Earth Tree Expansion. The DLC, which takes place in a completely new region, offers a tough boss glove and a brand new leveling system that has raised the bar for people, maybe even a little too high. However, many are starting to finish the expansion and return to the base game, and many of them make a pit stop to prove themselves to a specific boss.

Spoilers for the endgame of Elden Ring follow.

As you approach the end Fire ringIn the base game, one of the final mandatory battles is against Sir Gideon Ofnir the Omniscient, an NPC who is allied with the player character for most of the game. As you try to ascend and become the Elden Lord, you will naturally clash with Gideon, who usually dispenses advice at the Roundtable Hold – a gathering place for other Tarnished – even if he is secretly a rat woman who wants to stop anyone from taking the throne. In short, he deserves this beating. He doesn’t put up a particularly good fight, though.

Gideon is a bit of a jerk on his first playthrough. His fight is immediately followed by a much more epic and challenging encounter against Godfrey/Horah Loux, making Gideon a sort of aperitif to stimulate the palate before the series of Really challenging boss fights that round off Fire ring. Gideon is a lanky, gaunt figure whose appearance only betrays that he is a nerd who knows many spells to use against you. However, he is notably lacking in constitution and, anecdotally, is something of a joke. I guess that is why Fire ring Players enjoy battling against him with their newfound skills and weapons after Shadow of the Earth TreeThe content is much more difficult.

There are a few clips doing the rounds online, such as a particularly brutal one in which a player absolutely impales Gideon with the Great Sword of Doom. They follow more or less the same formula: a player strolls up to Gideon, who begins his speech before being almost instantly destroyed. Some clips are a little longer than others, but for the most part veterans return from the Land of Shadow with new weapons and abilities and wipe the floor with him, and it’s extremely funny.

People are having a lot of fun destroying Gideon with a variety of new weapons. Some are using the elemental perfumes to completely melt the guy in a single hit, while in a random TikTok I saw a guy using the new melee to beat him up. Perhaps the funniest clip features a large hammer being swung around and eventually blasted at the guy’s head, causing him to disintegrate.

It was great to see players at the top after a few weeks of learning everything about how difficult the DLC is. It seems like they are now taking out their pent up frustration on Gideon, and there is obviously a precedent for this. The players were apparently looking forward to killing Gideon with new DLC weapons and skills since they were shown in Shadow of the Earth Tree‘S first trailerbut even before that, it was common to kill the guy in the most humiliating way possible. At first, players developed overpowered builds, but eventually modders started decimating Gideon with everything from a weapon to Jujutsu KaisenThis is Gojo Satoru.

In summary: Eat shit, Gideon.
