If you’ve bumped into other savvy residents of the Lands Between lately, chances are you haven’t had a great time playing elden ring multiplayer. You may have been repeatedly pierced by thrusting weapons. However, you’ve most likely found that every single one of your attacks is just fueled by red-faced assholes who then just push you back and win no matter what you do. It was a problem big enough that wasn’t just caused by this new build immediately become metapeople called it broken and unfunny.
Stamina is a skill designed to help you survive attacks while still taking damage. To the enormous elden ring Update earlier in Octoberwhere FromSoftware finally gave PVP tweaks and single player tuning, Endure was one of many changes that completely overhauled combat in the game. In short, the patch saw a million skills with reduced FP and faster cast times, and a ton of armor received a boost in confidence. Suddenly, a greater variety of builds seemed possible, especially when managing a mage.
Then people discovered the power of Endure, which featured the following changes:
- Extended duration of action.
- Added an effect that prevents fluctuations and frostbite status effects caused by blood loss.
- Extended duration of action.
- The time between activating the skill and being able to perform actions other than attacks has been reduced.
That didn’t go over well. People started uploading montages of literally just Stand there, was repeatedly hit, sometimes by several people, and it was as if nothing had happened at all. It was absurd.
And now, a week later, it’s no more. FromSoftware has released a hotfix that shortens the duration of Endure’s effect, noting that “adjustments made in patch 1.07 had a bigger impact on game balance than expected”. That’s how you put it.

Additionally, one other thing was notably changed, while a few other details were corrected, meaning they haven’t changed, they just weren’t properly reported in the patch notes. You can read the details below:
Summoning – Inevitable Frenzy
Fixed a bug where FP consumption was not reduced properly in patch 1.07.
Some changes mentioned in the 1.07 update patch notes on Thursday October 13 were erroneously mentioned. The Cruel God’s Summoning Flame and Gurranq’s Beast Claw cannot be charged; Patch notes have been edited accordingly.
That Summon Black Blade currently missing the follow up attack when cast from the left hand. This issue will be fixed in a future update.
