Elder Ring Legend let me solo her You might want to watch his back, since there’s another Tainted out here making a name for himself by killing Malenia, Blade of Miquella in record time. Sure, Let Me Solo Her may have beaten her over 1,000 times, but this guy killed Malenia in about 15 seconds. It’s one of the fastest times I’ve ever seen.

Scarlet Rot Queen Malenia is an optional boss in FromSoftware’s most popular souls game yet. encountered in Elphael, Bracket of Haligtree, a legacy dungeon in the northernmost part of The Lands Between, Malenia, is notorious for its difficulty and one-hit-kill potential. In the stats, FromSoft was dropped earlier this month, it turns out Malenia was tried about 329 million times. While that number doesn’t reflect player deaths, I have no doubt Malenia’s death count is in the millions at this point – although struggling Tarnished could always call let me solo her via his summon sign to get a little help with the two-phase fight.
Or they could just seek out useful tips from Redditor RS_Lionheart who absolutely blacked out the goddess of rot in 15 seconds, get this, New game+7
Beat Malenia on the fly
In a YouTube video from April 20th, RS_Lionheart showed exactly how he embodied Malenia. He begins the clip with a dizzying array of buffs and consumables powered by the golden vow (a summon that increases attack and defense) and the Frenzyflame Stone (a consumable that continuously restores your HP), among others. After being swollen with performance-enhancing treats and rotten steroids for nearly 50 seconds in front of Malenia’s foggate, RS_Lionheart heads into the depths of the Haligtree to begin the fight. He skips the intro cutscene and ends the first phase of the fight in seven seconds using the cross-jumping slash attack of two The bandit’s curved swords.
Once her famous second phase begins, RS_Lionheart throws a Freeze Pot consumable to ground Malenia and then jump attack the winged queen to death. Total time it took? Just a little over 15 seconds.

The Elder Ring Build to punch Malenia’s ass
In Reddit messages with my cityRS_Lionheart who has 15 different characters across two accounts and almost 2,100 hours in them Elder Ringexplained that he stacked a few different buffs on the character he used as the lead to knock Malenia off the brakes so quickly.
“Prior to the start of the video, I used seppuku twice to affect my health and sorted my inventory by recently acquired material,” said RS_Lionheart. “Then I used a Frenzyflame Stone to start the build up of Madness, followed by Golden Vow. After that, I drink a Cerulean Flask and use the Ash of War: Cragbblade on my left-handed Bandit’s Curved Sword. I then switched my Dragon Communion Seal to an Antspur Rapier and used Bloodboil Aromatic. Insanity was supposed to be inflicted after that, so I swapped the Black Dumpling Helm for the Mushroom Crown and downed another Cerulean Flask, followed by my Physick (Dorny Cracked Tear and Stonebarb Cracked Tear). I then poisoned myself with two Roped Fetid Pots, traded the Mushroom Crown for the White Mask, and inflicted Bloodloss with Seppuku again with the Antspur Rapier. Once Bloodloss was inflicted, I swapped out the Kindred of Rot’s Exultation and the Lord of Blood’s Exultation for the Red-Feathered Branchsword and Claw Talisman. After that, I switched the Antspur Rapier to my other Bandit’s Curved Sword and used Cragblade again before going through the Mist Gate. Also, it’s important to note that the other talismans I used were Millicent’s Prosthesis and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia to increase the damage of consecutive attacks. I also wore the raptor’s black feathers to increase my jump attack damage.”
According to RS_Lionheart, he has helped many other players fighting Malenia either by placing his summoning shield near their gate or by providing advice on his YouTube channel. She already has a massive health pool, but in New Game + 7 her HP is increased by nearly 40 percent, making her even more of a challenge. While he couldn’t remember exactly how many players he’s lent his dizzying buff-based strategy to, it’s something RS_Lionheart doesn’t particularly like doing for one simple reason: lag.
“I have a simplified version that I used at a lower level (around 150) that has higher survivability (considering co-op can be unpredictable with lag and latency at times)” explained RS_Lionheart.
Lay aside, co-op is difficult for another reason: enemy scaling due to the number of additional players. Bosses take less damage, have more health, and hit a lot harder while playing Elder Ring with a friend or two. It’s one of the reasons why RS_Lionheart would prefer not to face such a challenge in multiplayer – and understands why many players don’t even want to try to defeat Malenia.
“The reason I enjoy a challenge like this so much is that it’s exciting to do something that has never been done before,” said RS_Lionheart. “That’s the motivation I need when researching a boss to figure out exactly how much damage I need to do before I do it. It is a lot of fun for me and in my opinion requires a very comprehensive and complete knowledge Elder Ring to try to the fullest.”

Although the performance is very impressive, just a day later, on April 21st, a friend of RS_Lionheart broke his 15 second record on Malenia, defeating the infamous Queen of Rot in just over 10 seconds! Although his friend didn’t defeat the Queen of Red in New Game+7, he started with exactly the same build as RS_Lionheart, apart from a different weapon choice.
“He’s a very experienced creator who runs Sax Slave Gael’s YouTube channel‘ RS_Lionheart said of the 10 Second Killer. “I learned a lot from him as I’m sure he learned from me over the last few months. I think competitions like this are great because they push the boundaries of what is possible Elder Ring.”
Elder Ring is a punishing experience. As one of the most difficult bosses in the game, Malenia strikes fear into the hearts of many players, myself included. But now that we have a solid buffing strategy to take her down, maybe she’s not so scary?
