Elon Musk, the world's richest person and President-elect Trump's new best friend, plans to enter the video game industry by opening a studio.
musk detailed his vaguely defined plans on “Too many game studios […] are owned by major corporations,” Musk said on the morning of November 27th, before announcing that his own major corporation, xAI, is launching an AI games studio to “make games great again.”
xAI accounts for itself as “working to build artificial intelligence to accelerate human scientific discovery, […] guided by our mission to advance our collective understanding of the universe.” The company is perhaps best known for Grok, the ChatGPT-style bot available to X Premium subscribers. Musk founded xAI in March 2023.
