Once again Bob tries to cook the perfect turkey. This time it is a three-day brine. But in the days before Thanksgiving, Bob and the family wake up to find the turkey in the toilet. Bob replaces it and it ends up there again the next day. What's up?!
While the toilet turkey mystery is intriguing and has a very funny and sweet explanation, the real reason this episode ranks so high is because it encapsulates the mood of a chaotic Thanksgiving week. Family members (in this case Gayle) come and cause problems, kids want to sit at the adults' table and try to cook a big ol' turkey to perfection.
Oh, and it includes too one of the best parts ever Bob's Burgersinvolving a deli employee who thinks that Bob's return visits to get more replacement turkeys are actually an attempt to lure him into a romantic affair. Not only is this the best Thanksgiving episode of the series, but it may also be a contender for the best episode of the entire series. So this Thanksgiving, watch it again and enjoy.
