We may not have E3 this year, but does it matter? Sony has been hosting these state-of-play events for a while, and today’s episode had it all final fantasy to resident Evil to street fighter to Spiderman.
While the show didn’t have any groundbreaking Announcements, at least on the level we expect from E3, didn’t matter. I’m sure they’ll come later in the month. For now, we got something new Final Fantasy XVI Footage, our first good look at street fighter 6 and his very strange career mode, a trailer for a very pretty but also restless indie gamesome VR news, a Resident Evil 4 Remake and many other things you can check out below.
During today’s Game Status stream, Capcom and PlayStation finally revealed Resident Evil 4 Remake. It will be released on March 24, 2023 for PlayStation 5.
The short teaser shows a game that looks very similar to the original. Leon Kennedy is sent to rural Europe to find the daughter of the President of the United States when all hell breaks loose. Oh, and Ada Wong is there because it just wouldn’t be resident Evil Game without its resident (ahem) femme fatale?
Stray, the game about being a cat in a world not made for cats, finally has a release date. It will be released on July 19 for PlayStation and PC, publisher Annapurna Interactive announced Sony State of Play storefront this evening.
