Today, Capcom streamed a new “Capcom Spotlight” event on Twitch and YouTube. While the cat was already out of the bag by her biggest news –A Resident Evil 4 Demo, available today– there was much more to see.
If you want to see it for yourself, you can Find the archived stream here. That said, here’s everything we saw in today’s Capcom Spotlight stream.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection
Capcom started showing off Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection again, containing all 10 mainline entries in the entertaining Game Boy Advance strategy-tinged chip-collecting RPG series. Director Masakazu Eguchi, who calls himself “Mr. Famous,” explained Buster’s new “MAX” mode and how the collection will feature digital versions of the 499 previously physical “patch” cards that interact with the later games in the series. The online game also sounds robust.
The legacy collectionsplit into two volumes, coming April 14th for Switch, PS4 and Windows.
street fighter 6
street fighter 6 made his usual appearance, unveiling his fourth and final in-game commentator, Japanese actress Hikaru Takahashi. With her we now have two Japanese and two English speakers. (We also saw muscular helmet enthusiast Marisa smack my main grappler Zangief in the face. She seems cool.) street fighter 6 is due on June 2nd.

The team based dino battle online shooter exoprimal appeared again, this time with more plot scenes. Looks good. While apparently not a live service game, the game appears to be littered with optional extras, including a season pass, pre-order bonuses, extensive character costumes, weapon skins, etc. It will be interesting to see if the fatigue for that kind of cruft we just saw me Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will also appear here.
Anyway, it’s coming to all major platforms except Switch on July 14 and will be available on day one of Xbox Game Pass. A two-day open beta test begins on March 17th.

Resident Evil: Death Island (CG Movie)
Finally, resident Evil Time. A sneak peek at the upcoming CG movie Resident Evil: Death Island looked suitably creepy; it turns out me not take care of undead swimming crawlies. I’m not ashamed to say it. Hopefully I’ll be prepared when it releases this summer. By the way, Jill is also there.
