Bethesda has opened pre-orders for a collection of Fallout games, appropriately bundled in a decorative mini nuke that you can fire at a Deathclaw. The Fallout SPECIAL anthology, a $60 collector’s edition, arrives shortly before the Fallout TV show premieres on Prime Video on April 12th. The set includes the Steam codes for every Fallout title released on PC since 1997, as well as a comprehensive DLC set for many of the included games.
You will receive the final editions of Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and the original Stand out, Fallout 2And Fallout: Tactics (This is not canon, but still worth playing). The code for each game is printed on the back of a card and corresponds to one of seven primary upgrade stats from the Fallout series of games. This seems like a pretty thoughtful yet cheeky way to honor the franchise.
The total price of the Steam versions of all Fallout titles included in this bundle is typically around $150. So it’s a good deal, even considering that the original game is currently available for free Amazon Prime subscribers (The sequel will be added march).
While the loot in this latest Fallout Collector’s Edition is a bit sparse, the acceptable price reflects that. I’m sure Bethesda isn’t looking to repeat the swamp Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition, which caused an uproar among those who felt the content was mispromoted. Bethesda eventually compensated those who purchased the $199.99 version of the game with replacement products and in-game currency.
