In Final Fantasy 16, you play as Clive Rosfield, the First Shield of Rosaria who is put in charge of protecting Joshua, your younger brother and Dominant of the Phoenix. You’ll quickly realize that you obviously weren’t trained enough to do the job. So let us help! These tips will help you explore the world of Valisthea and defeat your enemies with ease.
Complete the side quests
As you progress in the main story, you’ll unlock side quests, marked with a green exclamation mark. These side quests will give you more knowledge about what is happening around Valisthea and they will bring you joy Final Fantasy 16 all the more urgent. Also, the rewards from these side quests often provide crafting materials for weapons and gear that you may be missing.
Keep an eye out Side quests are marked with a plus sign because these quests reward you with upgrades like increased inventory capacity, accessory slots, and chocobo riding.
Stock up on potions
You may think that you don’t need healing because you just don’t take any damage. I thought the same thing and got through a lot of fights without needing them, but you’re beginning to realize that more and more bosses are thrown at you with no pause in between. You will start using your potions thinking the fight is over, but you were wrong! Reinforcements are on the way, and another boss fight looms in the distance.
Use your skill points as soon as you get them
In Final Fantasy 16You can refund your skills at no costs. If you upgrade a skill but don’t end up liking it, you can get back all the skill points you spent and use them to upgrade another skill. Test each skill to see which skills suit your playstyle and create your ultimate build.
Save as much as you want
Final Fantasy 16 does a good job of auto-save the game for you, but you’ll still have time 50 memory slots use! There aren’t many game-changing choices, but you should save often to review each point of your playthrough for at least one reason: it’s the only way to see Torgal as a pup again.
Use Active Time Lore to refresh your memory
When I play story-driven games like Final Fantasy 16I often forget who some characters are and how they relate to the main protagonist. If you’re like me, Creative Business Unit III and Square Enix seem to have found a solution to our collective short-term memory.
Hold down the touchpad on your PlayStation 5 controller to access the Active Time Lore feature, which contains over 2,800 different entries detailing characters, locations and events happening around you. This is even usable in cutscenes when you see an unfamiliar face!
Don’t reinforce right at the start
When you first arrive at the Hideaway, you will meet Blackthorne, the blacksmith. At the blacksmith, you can craft new weapons and equipment, or enhance the equipment you already own. It may be tempting to get ready for the next big thing, but wait a little longer.
There aren’t many side quests available to you to start with, so all of the content you can complete focuses on the main story. Once you’ve completed a main story quest, return to the Hideout and find that there’s a new big shiny toy you can craft at the Blacksmith. This often happens in the beginning Final Fantasy 16So for now, keep your buff materials.
Sell your valuables
As you peruse the shop menus, you might be wondering, “Why is every scroll of Orchestrion so expensive?” and “It’s going to take me ages to get that much gil!”
Boy do I have the solution for you? During the playthrough, you’ll collect numerous Gil Bugs, Black Blood, Amber, and Void Shards. These are not crafting materials used to craft your next weapon or gear, but rather items of value that can be exchanged for gil. Go to the nearest shop and sell all your valuables by pressing the touchpad to earn a lot of gil at once.
Don’t just spam the melee combo
The melee combo might be the first thing the tutorial teaches you, but don’t get in the habit of spamming the field over and over again! Final Fantasy 16 has quite a bit to offer in combat, and if you just have to limit yourself to placing squares, you can get bored very quickly. Weave a burst of magic between your melee attacks or take the fight to the air with your abilities. Combat can be very entertaining as long as you approach it creatively and avoid the impulse to spam melee attacks.
Play your way
If you’re here for the rich history, choose it Story focused mode. If you want to hack and slash your way through the enemies, go ahead and spam the melee button – I mean, um, choose that one action-oriented mode. You can change the focus in the settings at any time during your playthrough.
For those who fear combat, you can equip yourself with matching accessories that will make combat a little less daunting. The period accessories are available in both modes, but are equipped from the start of story mode. This accessory lowers the difficulty by making combos easier, giving more time to dodge attacks, automatically dodging attacks, using a potion when your HP drops below a certain point, and automatically inputting utility commands.
